Starting from 10 version, Greenshift will have some division in workflows. So, in the starting area, you will see a selector to choose the workflow.
This choice depends on whether you want to build a site with GreenLight Element blocks or regular blocks.
GreenLight blocks have more experimental features and are more oriented toward users with some CSS skills, while beginner blocks are oriented toward other users.
Most noticeable difference
Interface
Greenshift Blocks have a Panel structure for style parameters
GreenLight Elements uses Icon tabs for Style parameters
Experimental features
Greenlight Elements have many new modern CSS experimental features like Anchor API, Scroll API, effects, masking, custom cursors.
Greenshift blocks don’t have them.
Visual Helpers
Greenshift blocks have many visual helpers with drag and drop directly in editor. GreenLight Elements don’t have them.
Structure
GreenLight Elements have 1 block = 1 tag logic. They are equal to HTML tags and don’t have anything predefined. Meanwhile, GreenShift Blocks have preinstalled IDs and can include other helper layers.
When to use
Both workflows can be used to make any complex sites. It’s more related to your preferences and understanding of HTML/CSS. If you prefer more fluent output and 100% control over everything – GreenLight will be better. If you prefer more visual helpers – Greenshift blocks will be better. And there is nothing bad in using both to get the best from both workflows. So, try both and choose what you like more.
